My daughter loves to do the adult coloring pages and said out loud that she needed something big enough to hold all her art pens. So, being the crocheting mom I am, I stitched her up this holder. It measures about 15″ in circumference and is 4 1/2″ tall. It is a very simple project and my daughter just loves it!

I used two strands of Red Heart With Love held together and a size K hook. I used from leftover skeins so I do not have exact yardage, however I am guessing I used about 1/8th of a skein of each color or approximately 47 yards of each.
This holder can be customized to any size you wish, just stop increasing and work R6 then R7 until you reach the height you desire then work R15.
I highly suggest that you do use 2 strands of yarn held together for this project so that it has the stiffness it needs to stay upright.
I do use a magic ring to start this project. If you are not familiar with this technique, June from Planet June has a tutorial video you can find here: Magic Ring
